I recently wrote this post for my church's newsletter and feel it's worth repeating here.
David Jeremiah asked the following question: “What would you display in a museum of God’s faithfulness
in your life?" It caused me to stop and think.
God’s Faithfulness. Not for mankind; for me. How has God
been faithful to me?
Is it a prayer He answered the way I hoped? Was it one I
wrestled with and then was rewarded? God always answer our prayers. Sometimes
we like the answer. Sometimes we don’t.
Is it the times He protected me from harm? When I was
driving? When I got sick? When a promotion at my job would have brought
confusion and disappointment?
Was it when He refused my request and I later found out it
would have hurt me?
Was it the gifts he bestowed on me so I can serve Him? Did
He give me the skills to enable me to do His work?
Did He provide a friend to greatly impacted my life with
their godly wisdom and discernment? One who helped me through difficult days by
seeing God’s way was the best way?
Was He faithful in guiding my steps?
What about your life? Do you remember the times He helped
you through difficult situations and you knew in your heart it was God that did
it?
Remembering one act of faithfulness frequently refreshes the
memory of a thousand others. We have the
assurance that He works at all times as we remember what He’s done for us.
What would you display in a museum of God’s faithfulness in
your life? It’s worth thinking about.
