I am His Child

"When we receive Christ as our Savior, we receive absolute assurance that we will spend eternity with God. That assurance gives us the hope and the courage to endure sorrow, disappointment, and dangerous, difficult times."
Joel Rosenberg

Meet Giggles!

Sometimes you have to take a step back and pause. My wish this Christmas was a teddy bear. Yes, I'm 73 years old, and I needed a reminder of being a child and the magic of the Christmas season. With no children, grandchildren or great grandchildren to enjoy the season with, I felt a teddy bear would help me this Christmas.

I'm naming my teddy bear "Giggles" so every time I see him I will smile, and my heart will be cheered.

My dear, dear friend gifted me with Giggles. I had seen him online and told her about him. I just felt like I was supposed to have him.

Being a child is how my Heavenly Father tells me to come to Him. Matthew 18:3 says: "And He said, 'Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven."

We certainly don't like to think of ourselves as little children, but this meaning behind His words help us to understand what He was saying:

"God will put certain people in certain positions of authority as he wills, but it is never to elevate one in importance and value over another. Jesus consistently pointed to children for an example of how to be citizens of his Kingdom. Childlike faith is a virtue. Childlike trust in the Father is a virtue, but this is so counter-cultural and contrary to the nature of Satan in the unbeliever that he disciples would not come close to living it until after Pentecost when they are empowered by the Holy Spirit.

"It is so good to trust God in the way a child would trust his good and powerful (to the child) earthly father. Children trust their parents for wisdom, provision, protection, order, and vision. Christians who learn to trust their Heavenly Father in the same way will live life abundantly and bear the light yoke of Christ." connectusfund.org

Thank you, my kindred spirit, best friend forever, wonderful friend. I will think of you also when I see Giggles and smile.

Jesus Loves Even Me
Philip P. Bliss, author

"I am so glad that our Father in heaven
Tells of His love in the Book He has given;
Wonderful things in the Bible I see,
This is the dearest, that Jesus loves me."

Refrain:
"I am so glad that Jesus loves me,
Jesus loves me, Jesus loves me;
I am so glad that Jesus loves me,
Jesus loves even me."

"If I forget Him and wander away,
Still He doth love me wherever I stray;
Back to His dear loving arms would I flee,
When I remember that Jesus loves me."

"Oh, if there's only one song I can sing,
When in His beauty I see the great King,
This shall my song through eternity be,
Oh, what a wonder that Jesus loves me!"

"Jesus loves me, and I know I love Him;
Love brought Him down my poor soul to redeem;
Yes, it was love made Him die on the tree;
Oh, I am certain that Jesus loves me!"

"If one should ask of me, how can I tell?
Glory to Jesus, I know very well!
God's Holy Spirit with mine doth agree,
Constantly witnessing Jesus loves me."

"In this assurance I find sweetest rest,
Trusting in Jesus, I know I am blest;
Satan, dismayed, from my soul now doth flee,
When I just tell him that Jesus loves me."

If you need a little assurance this Christmas, no matter what your age, come to Jesus as a little child and let Him care for you. Jesus loves even you. You are His child.

Giggles and me.

Gifts Overflowing

"It is part of the kindness of God that amid all the change there are things we can always count on. The unfailing regularity of the seasons and the reliability of nature; the glory of the stars, the innocence of morning; the healing power of time and the sustaining power of hope; the heart's yearning for love and the soul's hunger for prayer; the endless quest for truth and the stubborn struggle for justice; the restless urge to create and the valiant will to overcome--these are some of the things we can count on. These are the things that hold in a slippery world."
Sidney Greenberg

Simple creations from Digital Art by Karla Dornacher.

A friend sent me a message with words of simpler times. When I responded I wrote, "Yes, to sit back and enjoy simpler times. I truly try to do that. Each day simpler, simpler, simpler. And it's then that the heart can hear, and the mind can consider all the gifts our Heavenly Father has given us."

And that's how I came to this blog post. It's early Sunday morning and I didn't have any words yet for this post. My friend's message showed up this morning. Where did my words come from? "When the heart can hear, and the mind can consider all the gifts our Heavenly Father has given us."

Many of us are concerned with gifts, gifts, gifts for family, friends and acquaintances. Let's take a minute though, to consider the gifts we've received from our God. The gifts we don't think about but just accept. The gifts that keep us going through our life seasons.

I'm talking about believing. God's gift to us so we can believe who He is, the Words He's written, the essence of our faith. Thanking Him for the Holy Spirit who makes it possible for us to understand and believe.

The brothers and sisters in Christ that we are friends with, that we worship with, that we serve with. The ones who understand and believe just as we do. Who we are comfortable being around and sharing with. That makes our lives easier.

The 24-hour contact we have with our God. He's always with us. He hears our every thought and whisper. We don't have to go anywhere to find Him. He lives in us.

Our caring hearts which He gave us. He changed our life so we can care about others. Serve others. Help others. Be helped by others.

The memory He put in our minds so we can recall His work in our life and always know He guides and directs us through His Spirit. Memory helps us make right decisions because of His guidance in earlier days. It reminds us of answers to prayer that encourage us to go forward. It reminds us that He loves us.

The beauty of nature that He opened our eyes too. The lovely hues of a morning sunrise and the comforting glow when the sun sets. The beauty in every season when we acclaim, "How beautiful God!" The amazing number of different birds in size and color. In wildlife. The fish of the sea. In adorable and loving pets that bring us cheer.

These are just a few things that God has given us that we don't consider often. Take a few minutes to thank Him for all of His gifts, especially the ones we just take for granted.

Yes, let your heart hear and your mind consider all God has given you. His Gifts. From His heart. Especially at this time of the year when we thank Him for our Savior, Jesus.

"Think of how good God is! He gives us the physical, mental, and spiritual ability to work in His kingdom, and then He rewards us for doing it!

Possessed by Faith

"I do not want merely to possess faith; I want a faith that possess me."
Charles Kingsley

A faith that possesses me. It means that 100% of the time, my faith is with me and before me. It's me at all times. I am only what my faith is.

My thinking, my hearing, my working, my resting, my talking is all controlled with my faith. Every part of me is under leadership of my faith.

Sounds hard. It is hard. But if I have deep, settled confidence in my heart that my faith has complete control over every aspect of my life. I will live each day possessed by my faith.

I also like what George MacDonald, 1824-1905 said: "That man is perfect in faith who can come to God in the utter dearth of his feelings and his desires, without a glow or an aspiration, with the weight of low thoughts, failures, neglects, and wandering forgetfulness, and say to him, 'Thou art my refuge because thou art my home.'"

Some more words from saints of old:

"My most cherished possession I wish I could leave you is my faith in Jesus Christ, for with Him and nothing else you can be happy, but without Him and with all else you'll never by happy." Patrick Henry,1736-1799

"Faith is a reasoning trust, a trust which reckons thoughtfully and confidently upon the trustworthiness of God." John R. Stott, 1921-

"Faith means being grasped by a power that is greater than we are, a power that shakes us and turns us, and transforms and heals us. Surrender to this power is faith." Paul Johannes Oskar Tillich, 1886-1965

"Faith recognizes that God is in control, not man. Faith does it God's way, to God's timing--according to His good pleasure. Faith does not take life into its own hands, but in respect and trust places it in God's
Kay Arthur

"The faith towards God in Christ must be sure and steadfast, that it may solace and make glad the conscience, and put it to rest. when a man has this certainty. he has overcome the serpent.
Martin Luther

I want a faith that possess me. What about you?

The Cheer of a December Morning

"Wondrous is the strength of cheerfulness and its power of endurance--the cheerful man will do more in the same time, will do it better, will persevere in it longer, than the sad or sullen."
Thomas Carlyle, 1795-1881

December starts a tradition I've enjoyed for many years. In the early morning, after the Christmas lights have been put up, I sit in the darkness on the couch and enjoy the Christmas lights, meditating on the season and being thankful for Jesus. All the pictures were taken in the dark just as I see them.

In front of me is the little fake fireplace that gives off a cozy glow and warmth, It reminds me of the fireplace we had in MD and how much I enjoy a live fire. Our little fireplace may be fake, but it still gives me the feeling of home. I also thank God for heat to keep me warm during the cold winter months.

Just beside the fireplace is the table of angels and snowmen. My angel picture was taken in MD. Twenty angels glowed in the front yard of a home. I loved driving by it.

The wagon is filled with snowmen. With God's promise that He will wash us "whiter than snow," it focuses my mind on this wonderful gift from God.

My head then turns to the left where baby Jesus lies in his manger, with an angel watching over Him. I bought the red barn a few years ago, and love to put it in the scene. This is the reason for Christmas.

Next to that is the small Christmas tree. The lights remind me that Jesus is the Light of the world, a symbol of HOPE.

Then I see another angel with some deer and a picture of a snow scene. The snowy wilderness. Yes, I had to get deer in there somewhere.

Jo keeps me warm also as she lays between my legs resting. Her presence brings calm to my mind.

When I look towards the dining room, I see another angel and snowman.

When I turn to the right there is a basket full or greenery and ornaments.

There's also a winter wooded scene in the dining room of my perfect cottage in the woods. Some dreams only remain dreams but the thought of them always makes me smile. There is a dog, deer, moose, bear and fox, tree house, bench and bridge over the little creek to complete my perfect home surrounded by wildlife.

While I'm enjoying all this, I have a cup of hot cocoa. This is my happy cup. I bought it before I started cancer treatments eight years ago and it has remained my happy cup ever since.

Yes, this is a special time of day when all is quiet, and I can sit and enjoy this special season of the year. Some of the lights will remain through February to bring warmth and coziness to winter's cold mornings. It's one of my special times that only comes in the winter months. A little cheer each morning to start the day.

"Cheerfulness keeps up a kind of daylight in the mind and fills it with a steady and perpetual serenity."
Joseph Addison, 1672-1719

I Heard a Whisper

One Thanksgiving in MD we went to the Old South Mountain Inn for dinner. I loved all the snowflakes hanging from the ceiling. The rest of the pictures are from that restaurant.

I've started a new project! I'm very excited about it. It's one I've never thought of before. and it all began with a whisper.

Two Sundays ago, early in the morning while it was still dark outside, and inside, as I hadn't turned on any lights, I sat in front of our "fake" fireplace (which truly helps you get in the mood of coziness and warmth) and I heard a whisper in my mind: Bible Study Through Hymns.

I've always enjoyed singing the old hymns, and in recent years reading hymns during my devotion time. But Bible study through hymns? That was new.

I have six hymn devotionals and I like reading about the person who wrote the hymn and what prompted them to write it. For me, it's inspiring. It helps me relate to people who have accomplished good things even when their heart was breaking, or they were going through difficult times.

The Christmas balls were also a delight to see.

I looked online to see if there was such a thing as a Bible study through hymns and found one! I immediately pulled it up. The website is LivingByDesign.org by Sarah Koontz. She's written several Bible studies on different topics, and they are all free. I immediately signed up to receive the one on hymns.

I also started writing my own Bible study about one of my favorite hymns. I love the words and music to And Can It Be. I'm certainly no scholar yet reading through my devotionals and pulling up online websites have given me enough information to write words.

It's been both inspiring and frustrating. Inspiring to write, which I love, and frustrating deciding just what to keep or discard. God has gifted me to write so spending time writing energizes and satisfies me.

I think it would be interesting to attend a Bible study through hymns. I don't know if I could facilitate one, but I do know if you are passionate about something it goes a long way in helping you accomplish it.

A lovely snow window.

As we proceed into the winter of the year, I think I'm going to be spending a lot of time at the computer writing studies about hymns. I think it will be a good way to spend the cold winter months.

Find time to keep your mind free from noise and clutter so you're able to hear a whisper that God may send to you. I'm glad I did!

Yes, I have a new project and I'm thrilled! I heard it through a whisper. Thank you, God.

It was a delightful meal indeed!

Deep Settled Confidence

"God is love and God is sovereign. His love disposes Him to desire our everlasting welfare, and his sovereignty enables Him to secure it."
A. W. Tozer, 1897-1963

In early fall I purchased a new devotion book titled “Sparkling Gems  . . . from the Greek.” I had not heard of its author, Rick Renner, so I investigated him first. He studied Greek in college and has served in the United States and Russia bringing people to Jesus.

Each Scripture verse of the day Renner pulls out certain Greek words that give better understanding to what has been written. I’ve enjoyed reading the devotions each day, although the devotions are more than twice as long as most devotion books.

I liked his interpretation of Romans 8:38-39 which we all know. It’s where Paul tells us that NOTHING can separate us from the love of God. Renner said it could be written this way:

I have been persuaded, and I remain convinced, that neither death, nor the complications that often arise in life, nor powerful angelic beings, nor even an entire group of high-ranking demonic spirits, nor anything that currently exists, nor anything that could potentially happen in the future, nor any political power, nor anything in the highest heavens, nor anything that resides in the deepest depths, nor anything that has ever been created is capable of disconnecting us from the love of God or of putting any distance between us and the love of God, which is in Jesus Christ our Lord.”

This brings out the Scripture verse with new understanding to help us know how secure we are in God through Jesus.

Nothing in this world has enough power to disconnect you from the love of God . . . regardless of what you are facing in your life today, God’s love is with you—and nothing will ever be able to disconnect you from this awesome, powerful, all-consuming love!

I like this quote: "To trust God with all my heart is to display a deep settled confidence in God's care at the very core of my life . . ." Alistair Begg

Do you have that deep settled confidence? I hope so.  For NOTHING can separate us from the love of God!

My Color is Brown

"And that ye study to be quiet, and to do your own business, and to work with your hands as we commanded you."
1 Thessalonians 4:11

This post is a little deviation from my normal posts. Just had to tell you about my week.

Brown. One of my favorite colors. I LOVE BROWN! Last week was a brown kind of week.

Maybe it began when I was a child. Someone called me "brown eyes," and it always made me smile. Brown hair too, under the gray now.

This picture may not be color but them there are brown eyes and hair!

                                     Next came stylish brown
                               dresses with brown suede boots.
Wish I could fit in them now!

My sister made me an all-brown afghan for my queen size bed in my twenties. I love this afghan. I still use it today, Those were the curtains I had to go with it: wildlife, of course, I made them. That's my cousin Rick and Sandy in front of them.

Brown syrup, Brown candy, brown everything!

Our brown labs! Abby's gone now, but Jo still sticks close to me.

Last week was a brown kind of week. My favorite quilt shop was having 25% off of everything, so, of course, I had to go. Usually, I'm matching fabric when I go there because I look at fabric online all the time and purchase some. This time, though, I was going to go and see what inspired me.

Five minutes after walking around, brown came to my mind. And just like that I decided the fabric had to be brown! I found just the shades of brown I wanted! Pinecones flooded the fabric. That was it!

All week I sewed on two quilt pieces just for me! September and October I sewed Christmas pieces to give, so I was looking forward to having two pieces for me to enjoy.

I love all the brown! I put a green back on it because there's green behind the pinecones. I can just feel myself wrapping it around me.

Not enough brown in this one. Not sure why I settled on this design. You can still see pins because the binding hasn't been hand sewed yet.

When we moved to PA I hadn't sewed in over 30 years. Never quilted. But the Quilt Ministry at my new church called my name. Saved me that first year when I knew nobody and was homesick.

I'm thankful for the women I met as I learned to quilt. I give away just as many pieces as I keep for myself. Even my Hope ministry takes part in my sewing projects.

But, back to brown. The internet told me the color brown creates feelings of wholesomeness, stability, and peace. Organization, relaxation and warmth. Stimulates the appetite. Well, I don't need any help there!

I couldn't find any quotes that were favorable about brown. They just don't have any idea how rich and warm brown is!

Yes, it was a brownish kind of week. Who likes brown? Join the club!

Do they make suede boots in size plus plus?

He Prayed for Me

"I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message."

John 17:20-23

I love this Scripture verse! To think Jesus prayed for me! It's an awesome gift from our Lord and Savior.

Jesus intercedes in heaven for all His children. He paid the price so we can be with Him one day. Knowing, right before He was crucified, He prayed for you and me. It has always been a special gift and one that should thrill our soul and inspire us to live for Him.

Chris Tiegreen, in Hearing His Voice, wrote these words:

"Jesus had some pretty big requests in His conversation with God the Father the night before the Crucifixion. He asked that His followers be kept safe from the evil one, that they would be one with God and with each other just as the Son and the Father were one, and that God would share His glory with them."

Jesus wants only the best for us. And each day, along with the Holy Spirit, and God the Father, works to help us so we don't get off track. He is always cheering for us, encouraging, inspiring and is nearby us every moment of the day.

"Dear believer, when times get tough, remember, Jesus prayed for those 'who will believe,' meaning those in the future, such as you. And He prayed you would be protected 'from the evil one.' So, walk in faith, knowing He cares and that He is in the process of perfecting you to 'reflect the Lord's glory.'" (2 Cor. 3:18)., Jim Reimann

Working preacher.com says this: "Jesus' prayer doesn't stop with those seated at the table. 'I ask not only on behalf of these, but also on behalf of those who will believe in me through their words, that they may all be one.' Jesus is praying also for youa nd for me. We are the ones who have come to believe because of the disciples' words. Jesus' prayer hangs in the space between earth and heaven, between time past and time yet to come. Jesus is praying that we will remain faithful and trust in the presence of the Holy Spirit."

It's very clear. Jesus prayed for us that believe and continues interceding for us in the Throne Room. We are fully protected, fully loved and fully accepted. All because of Jesus.

May your heart always be encouraged because Jesus is always near to you.

Sharing Joy

Looked at my side view mirror as I was driving along and delighted in the color. Just had to take a snap!

With the start of November brings one of my annual joys. Readers may recall it as "November Joy." It is a practice I started years ago to remember people who affected my life and thank them.

The following was printed in my church newsletter this past Sunday. It bears repeating again.

Who are you thankful for?

We are coming into the month of November, the month of Thanksgiving, the month of family. I’d like to suggest a new experience: “November Joy!”

"November Joy" is an action I highly recommend! It began many years ago in my heart and always brings a smile to my face. When I would turn the calendar over to November, I began to consider people who made a difference in my life that year. Then I'd write them a note thanking them for being in my life.

Luscious leaves.

We live in uncertain days and hope is hard to find. Every person and every family have heartaches. As Christians, we have God’s HOPE to share with others to help them as they live their lives.

Hope to a believer brings complete calm to any and all situations. We can share that hope with others because we know it is true and worthy.

I encourage you to expand your celebrations in November and show gratitude to those folks who've brought a smile, helped in a time of need or just made you feel good. It might be a phone call, a visit, a gift of food or an item you make, even an email message. Anything to say, "Thank you for being in my life!"

A camping sight in Clear Creek State Park had a good idea!

Will you consider "November Joy" this year? Will you say thank you to the special people who have made a difference in your life? Why not use the first two weeks of November to remember and encourage someone.

God’s Word tell us that we will be refreshed as we refresh others (Proverbs 11:25). Giving joy to another person makes your heart smile and helps you as you go through your daily life.

HOPE is a BIG word, a miraculous word. It is a word that instills courage and refreshment in our minds.

Lovely, beautiful fall. I'm going to miss your beauty!

Who are you thankful for? Tell them. Show them. Share God’s HOPE. I think you will find the month of Thanksgiving will bring added joy to your heart.

Hearing His Voice

"The voice of God is a friendly voice. No one need fear to listen to it unless he has already made up his mind to resist it."
A. W. Tozer, 1897-1963

It was a beautiful afternoon when I went across the street and took snaps of our neighbor's lake.

I read a different perspective on hearing God's voice last week. Chris Tiegreen started with an interesting introduction to relate God speaking to us. He spoke about scout bees that find new locations for a nest and give a detailed map to the rest of the swarm. He spoke of fireflies lighting up simultaneously without any apparent prompting from a leader. I wasn't too interested in the spiders, but he mentioned birds migrating across thousands of miles year after year without losing their way.

How? he asked. An inaudible voice. That's when he continued about people, and hearing God's voice.

"The Word that lived among us is the Word that formed us from the beginning . . . We are governed by the sound of God's voice, guided by an inaudible expression of His will . . . Know that even when you don't hear God's voice, you are being held together by its power and led by His intentions. His wisdom is in every cell of your body and every impulse of your brain." "Hearing His Voice"

In ways we'll never understand, God is completely in us, and He directs us every day. His Spirit teaches us, guides us, helps us, prays for us and is 100% in us. If He can create birds that can fly to the same nesting grounds each year, or fish that swim 100s of miles to their nesting ground, He can seal His guidance in our bodies too.

"God infuses His way into the very depths of our soul. He directs us from within. He fills us with himself." Tiegreen, Walk With God

It's all kind of amazing. But that's the way our God is. The Creator of all things. There are so many amazing facts, proven 100% over time, and we'll never understand how.

The reds and oranges of fall are lovely!

"If you keep watch over your heart and listen for the voice of God and learn of Him, in one short hour you can learn more from Him than you could learn from man in a thousand years."

Beauty of Fall

The sky may have been gray, but the leaves were stunning! This scene is of the Clarion River as it goes around a bend off of Millcreek Road.

"October gave a party;
The leaves by hundreds came--
The Chestnuts, Oaks and Maples,
And leaves of every name.
The Sunshine spread a carpet,
And everything was grand,
Miss Weather led the dancing,
Professor Wind the band."
George Cooper

And what a party it's been! Last week I had the opportunity to go on some "fall color" drives three days, and I was delighted with the show! Come along and see some of the beauty I enjoyed!

I discovered this lovely pond blanketed with orange and yellow leaves.

"I love autumn, the one season of the year that God seemed to have put there just for the beauty of it."
Lee Maynard

Wildlife out enjoying the day, peacefully grooming.

"God writes the gospel not in the Bible alone, but on trees and flowers and clouds and stars."
Martin Luther

" The testimony of nature alone is sufficient to lead man to an understanding of the personal righteous nature of God so that they are without excuse."
Romans 1:20

I was delighted to take pictures of my neighbor's lake one early sunrise. The gray sky didn't want to disappear, but I enjoyed the beauty anyhow.

"Thy bounty shines in autumn unconfined,
And spreads a common feast for all that lives."
James Thomson, 1700-1748

After a delicious lunch in Bellefonte with a Maryland friend, I was delighted with blue sky, white clouds and brilliant fall color as I drove back on I 80.

"In the entire circle of the year there are no days so delightful as those of a fine October, when the trees are bare to the mild heavens, and the red leaves bestrew the road, and you can feel the breath of winter, morning and evening -- no days so calm, so tenderly solemn, and with such a reverent meekness in the air."
Alexander Smith

What's there to say about beautiful except it's beautiful!

Portrait of Fall
"Looking out my window At October's golden light,
I see a beauty unsurpassed, A truly lovely sight.

"Leaves are saying soft goodbyes As they come floating down
To make a nature's carpet Of yellow, red and brown.

"Mountain tops now turned to white, Forewarn of winter chills,
While trees like golden rivers, Wind their way up through the hills.

"Throughout our world's creation You will ever find it thus,
Kaleidoscopes of color, In God's Hand, the artist's brush."
Alora M. Knight

Animals were enjoying the color too!

"May you Fall in love with October and all the beauty it brings. May your life be as colorful as the turning leaves, on each blessed autumn day."
Charmaine J. Forde

A lovely fall country scene as I continued my drive home via Rt. 28, past Brockway. Jerry said it looks like PA,

"Fall has always been my favorite season. The time when everything bursts with its last beauty, as if nature had been saving up all year for the grand finale."
Lauren DeFtefano

On Moore Bridge Road as I neared home, the North Fork River was beautiful too.

"Autumn carries more gold in its pocket than all the other seasons."
Jim Bishop

Through the woods in the forest and found these bright and happy type of grass/ferns. Not sure which, but I loved seeing them!

"I'm so glad I live in a world where there are Octobers."
L. M. Montgomery

This lovely scene a few miles from home on Rt. 36. A dear women gave me permission to walk in her backyard to capture it!

"Is not this a true autumn day? Just the still melancholy that I love -- that makes life and nature harmonize . . . delicious autumn! My very soul is wedded to it, and if I were a bird, I would fly about the earth seeking the successive autumns."
George Eliot

Every time I pass this pond on Rt. 949 I enjoy seeing it. but with all the fall beauty it was stunning!

A Beautiful Fall
Dean N. Julia

"The leaves are changing and so is the weather
It's time to put away shorts and put on the sweater
Halloween is near and Thanksgiving is coming
My favorite time of year this is becoming
'Tis the season of pumpkin and apple
An ordinary time for loved ones to meet at the chapel
I wish they appreciated the beauty of fall
Then and only then they could see why it's the best season of all."

With every leave a miracle . . .  Thank you, God, for your majestic and beautiful creation! I praise you and worship you, and I'm thankful my eyes were opened to see all the beauty you made for me!

Bring Me a Minstrel

"But now bring me ( Elisha)  a minstrel. And it came to pass, when the minstrel played, that the hand of the Lord came upon him."...
