Dreams come true at 74! Retirement brought new adventures and fulfilled desires! Writing Hymn Studies With Scripture and becoming a published writer.
I haven't always been a writer. It was during my middle 20s I began writing poetry to express emotion. I wrote about anything and everything--even a chocolate chip cake!
Slowly I moved into articles--newspaper articles for my church newsletter. Interviewing people, writing their story, laying out a page brought enjoyment and fulfillment.
After a few years I tried my hand at freelance. Articles, shorts, and anything I could think of. What a feeling to receive an acceptance letter in the mail.
Then, after receiving an encouraging note in the mail, I knew that was my calling. Encouraging people through note writing with God's love. And that's what I've done since then.
Except for a correspondence course one year, I have no training in writing. It just seemed to take shape and I enjoyed the avenue of expression.
Now retired, I share the ministry God gave to me in hopes of others finding a passion to write notes of encouragement. I also enjoy writing Hymn Studies and sharing them in hopes of inspiring others to appreciate the old hymns. I love to share my serendipity pictures where God's creation is beautifully displayed.
My husband, Jerry, and I enjoy reading, writing, photography and fixing good food!
